Waterfront dining inside colorful igloos? Yes, please!
2020 is certainly the year for igloo dining and we’re loving it! We’ve told you about Lookout’s glowing igloos coming back for the season and Woods Hill Pier 4 offering upscale dinners inside cozy globes by the port. Now we’re bringing you Mile Marker One’s whimsical, waterfront igloos, which are perfect for a holiday outing!
Located inside Cape Ann’s Marina Resort in Gloucester, MA, Mile Marker One has set up a brand new igloo dining experience just in time for the holiday season. The restaurant has set up four whimsical igloos, each with its own full-sized and brightly-colored door.
Each igloo comes with its own heating and lighting systems and have a panoramic window for you to take in the beautiful bay-side views while enjoying your meal! They’ve also been equipped with a special fresh-air ventilation system to ensure your meal is a safe and COVID-friendly one.
While dining at one of Mile Marker One’s igloos you’ll be able to enjoy the restaurant’s full menu from breakfast to dinner. Options include scrumptious acai bowls and lobster and waffles for breakfast, New England fried platters for lunch and lobster-stuffed avocados for dinner. You can also pair their delectable dishes with one of their super fun cocktails including their Black Bubbles Sangría with sparkling Shiraz, orange, Luxardo Maraschino and fresh fruit over ice, or their Pistacio Martini made with Vanilla vodka, pistachio syrup and pistachio gelato!
To ensure visitor safety the enclosures will be thoroughly sanitized after each party and patrons will be asked to comply with CDC guidelines including the obligatory use of masks when not seated and maintaining the stipulated security distance among others.
The igloos also can sit up to 6 guests each and can be rented for 2-hour periods with a $30 flat reservation fee. Mile Marker One is open 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant also highly recommends reserving your igloo ahead of time by calling at them at 978-283-2122.
