One of Boston’s most coveted bagels, with weekly drops that sell out faster than Boston weather changes temperaments, Brick Street Bagels welcomes a permanent South Boston shop this year.
The bagel shop plans to open in “may-ish” according to founder and owner, Jordan Renouf.
The bagel shop began as a pop-up in 2022. Renouf would deliver bagels to locals by bike. Eventually, demand grew and Brick Street Bagels hosted pop-ups at various locations in the city. For the past year, Brick Streets Bagels curated a temporary home at an abandoned kitchen at South End Buttery on Shawmut Avenue in South End.
Brick Street Bagels finds home in South Boston
Boston’s in a bit of a bagel fever, with new shops opening frequently, such as the equally popular PopUp Bagels which just opened in Seaport and announced a second Boston-area location for summer. Brick Street will open on West Broadway Street in South Boston.
How you can help
Opening any shop is a massive undertaking. The team at Brick Street is using the popular food and beverage crowdfunding platform, NuMarket, to raise $100,000 to open the South Boston shop. Contributors receive 120% of contributions returned as food and beverage credits to purchase yummy bagels and spreads. The credits can be used at the South End and upcoming South Boston location.
