Connecticut-born bagel icon, PopUp Bagels makes its maiden voyage to Cambridge this month. The rapidly expanding bagel franchise, which only recently opened its first Boston and Somerville locations this year, plans to bake out 100 locations by the end of 2027 and has already signed a deal for 300 franchised units, according to a recent press release.
It wouldn’t be fair to only bring the doughy goodness to Boston and Somerville. Cambridge can now join the RIP, GRIP, AND DIP revolution with these legendary bagels.
PopUp Bagels’ first Cambridge location opened in Harvard Square on Friday, October 10, just ahead of the holiday weekend and in time for the upcoming Head of the Charles Regatta. In total, this marks the 15th location for PopUp Bagels.
About PopUp Bagels
As the name suggests, the bagel brand began as a pop up—a “backyard pickup window”— founded by Adam Goldberg in Westport, Connecticut in 2020. After a few years, PopUp Bagels opened its first permanent physical storefront in Connecticut, eventually expanding with stores in New York and Boston. Harvard Square marks the first Cambridge location, and offers the perfect respite for Harvard students during exam stress.
Find PopUp Bagels Harvard Square at 1440 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, Massachusetts beginning October 10.
