Founded by a Vermonter turned Bostonian, Brick Street Bagels is proving to be Bostonians’ new favorite bagel shop. The Boston bagel concept operated several pop-ups each week with pre-orders and lines turning the block. After about 14 months of pop-ups around the city, Brick Street Bagels now has a permanent storefront for pre-orders and walk-ins.
The South End shop is open 4 days a week at the moment, with 80% of production for pre-orders and 20% for walk-ins. Pre-orders are guaranteed bagels as long as you arrive during your scheduled pick-up window. Remaining bagels will be available for purchase by walk-in customers.
Prior to launching its first South End storefront, Jordan Renouf, the mastermind behind Brick Street Bagels, was personally delivering bagel orders around Boston when he first launched in November 2022. With the appetite for his bagels quickly growing, pop-ups became the more sustainable way to get Brick Street Bagels in the hands of hundreds of hungry Bostonians every weekend! And now, with such high demand, Renouf opened the first Brick Street Bagels storefront!
About Boston’s new bagel obsession
Bagels are hand-rolled, boiled, and baked fresh each morning before service. Bagel flavors include asiago, everything, sesame, plain, and rosemary sea salt. Schmears are available too and the selection rotates but includes options like scallion and cinnamon sugar.
Wondering how to get your hands, and teeth for that matter, on a handful of bagels? Make sure to follow them on Instagram where pre-orders are announced regularly.
According to Brick Street Bagels, if you do pre-order bagels, then you are guaranteed a bag o’ bagels! If you go to Brick Street without a pre-order, bagels and schmears are first some first serve!
Renouf hopes to expand production and hours at the new brick-and-mortar shop for Brick Street Bagels in the South End over the coming months, so more people can try these bagels. Brick Street also does collaborative themed pop-ups with limited menu runs inspired by local partners like Little Donkey, Shy Bird, and Bar Mezzana.
