Founded by a Vermonter turned Bostonian, Brick Street Bagels is proving to be Bostonians’ new favorite bagel shop.
The Boston bagel concept now operates several pop-ups each week in the South End, where the bakery is based, and South Boston. Brick Street Bagels has started offering pre-orders as an antidote to the lines turning the block.
But even with the pre-orders, demand is through the roof. If you don’t set your timer for a pre-order, the bagel drops can sell out within 2-minutes!
Prior to launching its neighborhood pop-up model, Jordan Renouf, the mastermind behind Brick Street Bagels, was personally delivering bagel orders around Boston when he first launched in November 2022. With the appetite for his bagels quickly growing, pop-ups became the more sustainable way to get Brick Street Bagels in the hands of hundreds of hungry Bostonians every weekend!
About Boston’s new bagel obsession
Bagels are hand-rolled, boiled, and baked fresh each morning before service. Bagel flavors include asiago, everything, sesame, plain, and rosemary sea salt. Schmears are available too and the selection rotates but includes options like scallion and cinnamon sugar.
Wondering how to get your hands, and teeth for that matter, on a handful of Brick Street Bagels? Make sure to follow them on Instagram where pre-orders and pop-ups are announced weekly. Past pickup locations include Gray’s Hall in Southie and Hayes Park in South End.
According to Brick Street Bagels, if you do pre-order bagels, then you are guaranteed a bag o’ bagels! If you go to a pop-up without a pre-order, bagels and schmears are first some first serve!
Renouf hopes to open a brick-and-mortar shop for Brick Street Bagels in the near future. He notes that South End would be his top choice, but he would also be open to Back Bay or Southie.
