Ah, Beacon Hill, we love it for its cobblestone streets, cozy holiday decor, brownstone goals, and hole-in-the-wall boutiques and restaurants. It’s the closest thing to Europe in Boston and while it might be small, you can easily spend your entire day (and get a nice glute workout might we add) roaming the hilly streets from Joy to Acorn. Below are 5 things you can do right now on Beacon Hill for the perfect day!
1. Start the day with a Pistachio Latte at Blank Street
The recently opened Manhattan-native coffee shop planted its inaugural Boston locations within minutes of each other both practically on Beacon Hill! The larger shop you’ll find right on Charles Street, and the other destination (a cozier nook) is right around the corner on Cambridge Street. This cult-favorite coffee shop offers a new brew to the Boston coffee scene. Make sure to try their signature Pistachio Latte!
Find Blank Street locations at 282 Cambridge St. and 97 Charles St.
2. Tour all 5-floors of Beacon Hill Books and Cafe
Anyone (bookworm or not) could easily spend the entire day in this wonderful oasis. Complete with toile de jouy walls, relaxing furniture, an indoor cafe and outdoor heated terrace, there is an abundance of fun to be had. Adding to the European vibes of Beacon Hill itself, this new bookstore feels straight out of Notting Hill. Come here for breakfast and pick up a new book as a souvenir!

3. Skate at one of America’s best outdoor ice-skating rinks
Now that you’re well caffeinated and satiated, how about putting that energy to use? Frog Pond is just strides away from Beacon Hill in the Boston Common. If you can coordinate a skate during the off hours, you’ll avoid the massive line that tends to form on evenings and weekends.
Find Frog Pond at 38 Beacon St.
4. Catch a discounted film at the AMC on Tremont
Just across the street from Frog Pond you’ll find the Downtown AMC Theatre! There are so many movies to catch from Avatar 2 to the new Black Panther, you’re destined to find a film that matches your mood, and all at a discounted rate using these tickets!
Find AMC Boston Common 19 at 175 Tremont St.
5. Customize a cheese board to take home as the perfect nightcap
You’ve probably worked up an appetite after all of that skating! Stop by the “Chipotle of cheese boards,” Kured, to DIY an epic cheese board for munching at home or enjoying along the esplanade. Pick from toppings such as truffle gouda, homemade onion bread, plum jam and more to mix sweet and salty all in a beautifully curated box for you to cap your perfect day on Beacon Hill!
