First Night, Boston Common

What: This free New Year’s Eve event in Boston is a decades-old tradition! There will be live music, an ice skating show, treats, and a grand firework shows!
When: Family-friendly fireworks at 7 PM on 12/31, and second fireworks at midnight

Boston Harbor Fireworks, multiple viewing locations

What: Boston’s second-largest fireworks show dazzles over the Boston Harbor! Known as NYE On The Harbor, the day begins with a FREE waterfront ice sculpture stroll, maybe a trip to Snowport, and finally the fireworks will be launched from a barge at Boston’s Long Wharf on January 1!
When: All day on 12/31, Fireworks at Midnight

What: Not only does this closed rooftop Back Bay restaurant have a special New Year’s Eve dinner menu, but they also have front-row seats to all the festivities at the Boston Common.
