Celebrating its fourth, Boston Open Market returns to Back Bay this weekend! The season officially kicked off on May 4 and will operate every weekend now through October 2024. The outdoor market runs rain or shine, and it looks like we’ll have a bit of both this weekend.
About Boston Open Market
Founded in 2005, New England Open Markets curates an eclectic mix of local makers and artisans showcasing their unique handmade goods. The Boston edition of the market began in 2020 and is now in its fourth year. You might also recognize it as the “Copley Square Market.” Due to the ongoing construction in Copley Square, the market has a new home this year!
Boston Open Market is a subsidiary of the larger New England Open Market. This year, find it on Boylston Street on the Boston Public Garden.
100% handmade
There are over 55 vendors in this year’s market, all selling 100% handmade goods, a requirement to qualify for the market- with the exception of vintage goods, which are also open to discovery at the market.
It’s a quintessential Boston warm weather activity for those looking to discover new local vendors. You’ll find everything from handmade goat milk soap to batch-made granola, and semi-fine jewelry.
