If you were a fan of Snowport’s holiday market during winter last year, then you definitely won’t want to miss the newest marketplace event in Boston’s hottest neighborhood. Seaport Summer Market is the open-air shopping destination celebrating local entrepreneurship, craftsmanship and art, with over 130 vendors participating this year-it’s back double in size! Located at 85 Northern Avenue, it’ll span an entire city block!
The market will take place on four weekends this summer: May 13-15, June 10-12, July 8-10 and August 5-7. Along with shopping opportunities, there will be plenty of dining options and a pop-up from Boston Children’s Museum which will debut an extension of one of its exciting new exhibits.
Vendors sell everything from fashion, beauty, skincare, home décor, pet accessories, original artwork, packaged food, and more. The vendor lineup will vary throughout the series and the complete list of vendors participating at the Seaport Summer Market can be found at Seaport’s website.
In between shopping, you can grab a bite to eat from the market’s tempting lineup of dining options, ranging from tacos and pierogis to waffles, baked goods and gelato, as well as beer and wine. Plus, an outdoor dining area complete with seating will include menus by The Frenchman’s Goods, North East of the Border, Onebitesweet, Gogi on the Block, and The Nada Cart.
The Summer Market will also feature an exciting extension of Boston Children’s Museum’s Dinos in Space exhibit, and it’s perfect for families and kids to enjoy. Dinos in Space will invite visitors to explore an imaginary universe that joins the wonder of dinosaurs with the fascination of outer space.
“Following the Holiday Market at Snowport, we knew we had to create a summer edition!” said Emily Soukas, associate director of community & partnerships for WS Development Seaport. ‘We are thrilled to extend our partnership with The Makers Show, creating another seasonal market that supports so many incredible local businesses. Seaport is always looking to create fresh experiences, and the Seaport Summer Market will no doubt be a vibrant and welcoming destination for all,”
The Seaport Summer Market will be free and open to the public. It will be open rain or shine on every Saturday and Sunday from 11am–7pm each day starting May 13 through June 18.
