The Amrak Freedom 250 Acela made it’s inaugural ride out of Washington D.C. this week.
The train traveled from D.C., north to Philadelphia. The special train is wrapped in a Freedom 250 banner featuring and image of the Statue of Liberty.
The patriotic Amtrak train commemorates the 250th anniversary of the nation, which is coming up on July 4, 2026. The train will continue to make trips along the Northeast Corridor and might just be something you spot on your next ride!
The decals are part of a larger government-funded celebration of American transportation over the last 250 years. Planes, trains, and automobiles of all sizes will be wrapped in similar decals leading up to the nation’s anniversary.
