Early birds and night owls, rejoice! Amtrak’s latest night owl fares are starting as low as $20 between Boston and Manhattan. The night owl savings were only recently introduced along the Northeast Corridor route between Boston and Manhattan after much success and popularity rolling into Washington D.C.
And with a name like “night owl fares,” you might think this deal only applies to trips at the obscure hour of 3 AM. But the deal actually applies to select trains with departure times between 7 PM and 7 AM daily!
Whether you want to catch the train home after a work dinner, or kickstart your day in New York by boarding the 6:30 AM Northeast Regional train into Moynihan Train Hall, there’s major potential savings in store.
Night Owl fares offer the same great coach service you expect on Amtrak, but at a new low price, notes Amtrak.
The deal applies to trains between Boston and New York City, and stops in between. This means reduced fares from Boston to Mystic, Westerly, and more!
And, if you make sure to book at least two weeks in advance of your departure train, Amtrak fares are even lower. Check out some sample fares between Boston and New York City below (note: these fares were calculated on the date this article was written and are subject to change by Amtrak):
Example outbound trains $25 and under from Boston to New York City:
