Boston Seaport’s annual Halloween bash is back for 2026. Play It By Fear takes over The Rocks at Harbor Way (111 Harbor Way) on Friday, October 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. — and it’s free and open to everyone.
Ghost host Ashlee Feldman leads the evening, which opens with a one-hour live set from the Glass Artists string quartet playing Halloween slasher themes and classic hits. DJ Brian Halligan keeps the music going after the quartet wraps.
The night’s other draws: trick-or-treating with neighborhood staples The Sweetish Fish and Union Square Donuts, and Ben & Jerry’s on-site serving scoops for just $1. Prefer something more substantial? Grab takeout from a nearby spot like Happy Rice and set up a Halloween picnic on the waterfront.
Seaport Insiders — members of the neighborhood’s loyalty app — get early access to spooky character portraits by local artists Nick Shea and Rene James, and a haunted house–themed photo booth. Downloading the Seaport Insider app and registering also unlocks a free surprise treat at the Insider tent that night.
Details, please!
Play It By Fear is free, no ticket required. RSVP and full event details are available on the Boston Seaport event page. The event is presented by WS Development, the team behind the Seaport district’s ongoing 33-acre waterfront development.
