Aquarium After Dark returns to Boston’s New England Aquarium this October and November. The event took place for one night last year, and after proving a massive success and a building a huge wait list for future events, the New England Aquarium (NEAQ) returns the popular event this fall, for two nights.

Taking place on Friday, October 16 and again on Friday, November 20, tickets for Aquarium After Dark are now on sale.
Those on the NEAQ’s notification list will be the first to know as soon as tickets drop. And they are expect to go wicked fast.
A night at the aquarium
A night at the museum is fun, but a night at the aquarium—is otherworldly!
Aquarium lights dim to mimic the ocean at night, catch the Giant Ocean Tank’s nurse shark and green moray eel venturing around, both particularly active after dark. You’ll spend the evening with penguins, sea turtles, and fish.
Adults-only after-hours party
The New England Aquarium, which is typically only open until 5 or 6 PM, stays open after hours just for these two nights! The 21+ evening will have light bites and beverages available for purchase as the aquarium remains open after hours from 6-9 PM.

And the New England Aquarium isn’t only open after dark for special events. Simons Theatre, inside the aquarium, also hosts Candlelight concerts, so you can return after hours for an evening of live music surrounded by the aquarium’s waterfront setting.
