Parts of New England can expect snow for their Thanksgiving this year. And if snow isn’t in your forecast, you’re likely to experience a wet Thanksgiving with a rainy, cloudy, and potentially mixed precipitation according to the most recent forecast.
Not unlike last year’s Thanksgiving, which also brought precipitation to parts of New England, it seems the drought is headed out, although the brush fires continue to rage in parts of New England.
So who can expect to have a white Thanksgiving this year?
The region could see a Nor’easter on Thanksgiving day, November 28.
For the mix storm on Thanksgiving, most of New England will have a mix of snow in the forecast, with the exception of southern Connecticut. Boston is likely to only get rain.
There will be snow and mix in most of western Massachusetts and the rest of New England, with cold temperatures and blustery conditions. Due to the snow and high winds, some meteorologists are labeling this storm as a Nor’easter. Northern New England and upstate New York are under a “winter storm watch” until 1 PM on Black Friday:
The snow is likely only to stick in areas with elevation exceeding 1,000 feet on Thursday. Black Friday and the rest of the weekend will have dry, but cold conditions. Perfect for enjoying the opening of New England’s largest indoor holiday market!
