Tenderoni’s is celebrity chef and Sweet Cheeks owner Tiffani Faison’s newest venture, Tenderoni’s, is opening November 22 and bringing back an old-school pizza restaurant to Fenway! The joint will make its grand debut in the former Tiger Mama space, Tiffani’s former Asian-fusion restaurant which operated for seven years from 2015 to 2021. This will be the second addition to the Tenderoni’s family, with another location already opened at High Street Place in Boston’s Financial District!
The “blown out” version of Tenderoni’s will serve Italian-American cuisine in a “wildly entertaining and raucous atmosphere,” according to a recent press release. This location is the mothership of the two Tenderoni’s locations, so you can expect an extended menu and unique atmosphere.
Tenderoni’s Fenway melds an old-school atmosphere with new-age flavors
The hero dish of Tenderoni’s is their 2.5-foot-long pizzas with a crust crisped to perfection and delectable toppings ranging from gooey mozzarella to crispy broccoli. The sizeable menu will also offer non-pizza options such as “Pizza Pan Lasagna with Fontina Fonduta, Gravy Meat, Ricotta, Fresh Mozzarella, and Burnt Edges, “Dinnah” entrées such as Lemon Fried Chicken, Garlicky Parm Mayo, Arugula, Radicchio, Cherry Pepper Hot Honey and Frico.”
Make room for Faison’s famous desserts, which are yet to be announced, but we’re sure they’ll be as good as the Sweetcheeks Fluffernutter. Faison served as a judge on the hit series Chopped and is a four-time James Beard award finalist, one of the restaurant industry’s most prestigious awards.
Faison’s group, Big Heart Hospitality, is the Boston-based restaurant parent company responsible for bringing us Tenderoni’s, Fools Errand, and of course, Sweet Cheeks! The group collaborated with Cambridge-based PCA Architecture to design the 70’s and 80’s inspired pizza joint set to feature lots of red, vintage-inspired seating, and a takeout window dedicated to slices, which is great news for those looking to grab a quick bite before a Red Sox game or on lunch break.
