Commonwealth Pier welcomes a new addition each week, with the expansive waterfront community space in Seaport bringing in new businesses and vendors, like the recently opened Museum of American Finance and the soon-to-open Salt & Straw.
About Salt & Straw
Salt & Straw is an ice cream shop from Portland, Oregon, founded by cousins Kim and Tyler Malek. The shop plans to open its first Boston location in the Seaport this month at Commonwealth Pier, making it a perfect stop to cool off after a hot summer day on the pier.
Salt & Straw is best known for its whimsical flavors and its commitment to using the finest ingredients, including grass-fed dairy sourced from a fifth-generation farm in San Jacinto, California.
Creative ice cream flavors scooping soon in Seaport
They then whip up and source more fantastic ingredients to dream up creative flavors like Huckleberry Oat Crisp with Foraged Porcini — yes, a mushroom ice cream — and Strawberry and Coconut Water Sherbet. For the less brave but still curious, Salt & Straw also offers flavors like Double Fold vanilla bean, which gets its name from the double amount of vanilla beans folded in.
Salt & Straw opens this summer in Boston Seaport at 200 Seaport Boulevard. Salt & Straw has one other New England location open at Tuscan Village in New Hampshire.
