There’s an overwhelming quantity of hotels, inns, and Airbnbs to select from when booking a trip to Nantucket. When considering proximity to downtown, beaches, the high-speed ferry, and overall comfort and amenities, Salt House Nantucket offers up the best of the best.
The impeccable service and meticulous design coupled with signature Salt Hotel amenities make us keen on the salty life and all it offers when on the island!
The salty life…
Traveling from Boston to Nantucket can sometimes feel like a journey, after all, it is an island! Whether you lug your things from car to train to ferry or hop on a seaplane, the less you have to bring, the easier the trip.
With an abundance of amenities, Salt House Nantucket pretty much cover all your bases for an island trip. Enjoy complimentary bikes on land and ride waves at Jetties on one of the hotel’s boogie boards. Stop by Bartlett’s Farm for fresh produce and bring your own picnic to the beach borrowing one of the house coolers, beach chairs, and umbrellas!
They also have complimentary breakfast sourced locally and the most delicious coffee to fuel yourself for a day of adventure and exploration! Enjoy your morning meal out in the beautiful garden surrounded by blooming strawberry hydrangeas.
One of our favorite things about Salt House Nantucket, although we are completely smitten with the property and could easily spend the whole day there, is its hyper-central location. Children’s Beach is 800-feet from the property, aka a 3-minute walk away!
Jetties and Francis Street Beaches are also within a 5-minute walk. Steps Beach is just a 12-minute walk from Salt House Nantucket. The island’s iconic Brant Point lighthouse is a 9-minute walk (perfect for a sunset photo op!)

The island’s downtown area is also just feet away, with so many delicious food and beverage options like Dune, Walter’s, Lemon Press, Lola 41, and Cook’s Cafe. And do not skip strawberry ice cream on a homemade cone from The Juice Bar– it is simply the best!
After a night on the town you can come back and relax by the hotel’s firepit and play a round of ping pong at the outdoor table!
