City Winery and Trillium Brewing Co. are bringing back their popular wine and beer gardens just in time for the warm weather!
Exciting news Bostonians! Not only is the warm, sunny weather finally making its way to the city for good, but you’ll also be able to enjoy it with a glass of wine on the breezy Greenway soon. The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy recently announced it’s bringing back its oh-so-popular wine and beer gardens and we cannot wait!
City Winery on the Greenway will be the first to welcome back the public to its Dewey Square Garden starting on Saturday, May 1. Boston’s only wine garden will be opening once again across from South Station and will be offering locally crafted whites, reds and rosés for your enjoyment. This year, City Winery will also be partnering with Harpoon Brewery so you can also indulge yourself with a cold, local craft beer or hard cider.
Along with the drinks, the garden will also offer a select menu of Mediterranean-inspired nibbles including fresh wraps, cheese boards, and other snacks that will pair perfectly with your glass of wine.
Trillium Brewing fans will have to wait a while longer to enjoy their breezy beer garden, which will be back on Thursday, May 20, for yet another awesome season of craft beer on the tap. The beloved outdoor spot will be coming back for its fifth season at the corner of High Street and Atlantic Avenue so you can enjoy some premium, New England farmhouse-inspired beers on the tap. Trillium on the Greenway will likely be very busy so organizers recommend guests make reservations ahead of time to ensure their spot in the popular garden.
Trillium is also encouraging guests to grab a bite from the surrounding food trucks. These rotate every day and include some of the yummiest options such as Bon Mi, the Bacon Truck, Dining Car and Pennypackers, and that’s just to name a few!
Both City Winery and Trillium Brewing will be operating under COVID-19 and state health and safety guidelines — Tables will be spaced 6 feet apart from each other, no parties larger than six will be allowed, food will be required with every drink purchase, and masks will be required at all times except when sitting or eating.
City Winery on The Greenway will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m., Fridays from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 1 to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Meanwhile Trillium Garden on The Greenway will be opening Thursdays from 12 to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 2 to 10 p.m., and Sundays from 12 to 6 p.m. So… who’s up for a breezy pint or two?!
