Maybe, because we have great pizza! Posto, the wood-fired Neapolitan pizza spot in Somerville rounded up among the “50 top pizza spots in the USA” according to an Italian food guide! That’s how you know these results are legitimate.
50 Top Pizza, is a leading Italian digital food resource discovering the best spots worldwide for everything pizza. For their end-of-year roundup of America’s best pizzas, they chose Somerville’s own, Posto, at the 47th spot on the list “50 Top Pizza USA 2023.”

Posto is the only New England pizzeria on the entire list. And Somerville seems to be on a roll with nationally acclaimed restaurants, with Posto joining this tavern!
The quaint Davis Square pizzeria opened in 2009 and Pizzaiolo, Juan Perez, spearheads the innovative pie curations. 50 Top Pizza shares that Posto in Somerville is “the right address to eat the classic Neapolitan pizza in the white version,” or “Mandorla.”

Posto’s menu offers eight varieties of red pizza and eleven different white pizzas! Some of the more unconventional pies at Posto are the “Almondine,” a pizza with toasted almonds, ricotta, mozzarella, fontina, and chili infused honey.
If you prefer a red pie, the “Eggplant” pizza includes crispy fried eggplant, gooey mozzarella, fontina, sliced fresh garlic, caramelized onions, and fresh basil! Posto features a full menu beyond its pizza with antipasti, insalate, handmade pastas, grilled meats, fish, and poultry. Of course, they also offer scrumptious Italian desserts like tiramisu and a white chocolate pistachio cannoli.

Posto is part of Boston’s Alpine Restaurant Group which manages Latin and Italian fare in Davis Square, Waltham, Harvard Square, Brookline, and South End. Posto’s sister restaurants include Painted Burro and Burro Bar.
