Seven months from now, what is regarded as one of the world’s largest and leading thrift markets returns to the Northeast! ThriftCon is the “number one vintage convention in the world,” and the largest in the nation.
ThriftCon makes stops in 10 American cities this year, with a return to Brooklyn, New York—just four hours outside of Boston! If you’re an avid thrifter and love the treasure hunt, this convention is for you!
What is ThriftCon?
Established in Denver in 2019, ThriftCon gathers 130+ of the best small businesses specializing in everything from vintage clothing to retro collectibles, antiques, streetware, home goods, furniture, and more. And while building you collection is the main event, ThriftCon promises to be much more than a shopping event—it’s a massive convention celebrating vintage culture!
“At ThriftCon you can truly find something for everyone,” says Conte. “Yes, there are A LOT of t-shirts. A LOT of vintage streetwear. But there’s also Boho, Americana, true vintage, hats, sneakers, dresses, outerwear, homegoods, accessories, upcycled items, art, vinyl … pretty much everything.
“We aren’t just buying/selling/trading clothing either,” he continues. “We’re investing in the stories, history, education and culture behind the pieces.”
ThriftCon will also make stops this year in the following cities:
- 2/28: Atlanta, GA
- 4/4: Miami, FL
- 5/9: New Orleans, LA
- 5/30: Oklahoma City, OK
- 7/11-7/12: Denver, CO
- 8/1: Brooklyn, New York
- 9/12: Seattle, WA
- 10/17: Los Angeles, Ca
- 11/7: Dallas, TX
- 12/5-12/6: Houston, TX
ThriftCon makes only one stop in the Northeast this tour, in Brooklyn, New York, just about four hours outside of Boston by car or Amtrak!

With general admission tickets starting from under $20, ThriftCon is an exciting way to discover over 100 vendors from across the nation, all under one roof. Children under 13 enter free, so bring the whole family to explore and experience ThriftCon—whether casual collectors or serious thrifters.
“I love the accessibility of thrifting and reselling,” says co-founder Mario Conte. “Anyone can hit a thrift or a garage sale and sell it on Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, start an eBay, Depop, whatever. There is such a wealth of knowledge available and the vintage community has opened up a lot of doors for people to create their own hustle.”
