Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, regarded as “Boston Stadium” for the World Cup, will host seven soccer matches between June 13 and July 9, 2026. On matchdays, the MBTA will provide direct train service between South Station and Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Matchday express train to Foxborough
On game days, MBTA’s Boston Stadium Train will run 14 express trips with no stops between South Station and Foxboro Station, which sits right next to the venue. Each ride takes about an hour and requires a Boston Stadium Train ticket, available only through the mTicket mobile app. Tickets cost $80 round-trip and must be purchased ahead of time—no tickets will be sold onboard. Ticket sales began on April 8 and will be available until the train is sold out. Every rider, including children, needs their own train ticket.
You’ll also need a valid match ticket for that day to buy your train pass. Once activated in the mTicket app, the same ticket doubles as your return trip after the match, with trains departing from Foxboro Station about 30 minutes after the final whistle and running every 15 minutes until everyone’s headed back to Boston.

Temporary Commuter Rail service adjustments will be in place from June 8 through July 13 to support World Cup operations.

Trains will depart every 15 minutes until all fans have left. Return trains do not have boarding groups.
