After a long two-year hiatus, MayFair is finally back in Harvard Square! This Sunday, May 15, from 11am to 6pm, the MayFair festival in Harvard Square will feature music, dancing, food, crafts, street art, and entertainment for all ages.
An annual tradition spanning decades, this celebration of all things spring and sunshine has a lot of arts & entertainment lined up for its comeback this year.
There will be four stages of live music, covering just about every genre you can think of. From reggae and indie to R&B, jazz, and rock, live entertainemtn takes center stage at MayFair. Read further on to find the music schedule for the main stage.
Within and beyond the festival grounds, Harvard Square’s favorite restaurants will be serving fresh eats on their outdoor dining patios. From casual to high-end meals and everything in between, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. One of our favorites include the new tiki bar/restaurant Wusong Road, who is hosting a beer garden in tandem with Alden & Harlow and Brato!
You can also shop from over 40 artisan booths that feature art, clothing, jewelry and more. Be sure to check out the Harvard Ukrainian Student Society’s booth to get some Ukrainian crafts and goods. With traditional and modern handmade jewelry, paintings, stickers, pottery, books, and treats, all proceeds will go to Plast Ukraine, World Central Kitchen, and Gostomel Animal Shelter.
“We are excited to bring back MayFair after a two-year delay,” said Denise Jillson, executive director of the Harvard Square Business Association. “As always, there will be lots of music, artisans, food, vendors, crafts and beer gardens. […] We’re also spotlighting square-wide eateries and retailers. To help support our businesses that have been struggling over the past few years, we are making it easy and fun for folks to seek out old favorites and discover new ones. […]We’re enthusiastically encouraging our retailers to open their doors wide, decorate their windows, light up their storefronts and spill out onto the sidewalk!”
With plenty of food, entertainment, and shopping options, MayFair is the perfect spot to ring in the warm weather!
