Explore over seven unique worlds of play from music to basketball to underwater adventures, courtesy of The LEGO Group. The now Boston-based company transformed Downtown Boston by creating spaces to play at the heart of the city.
The unique spaces have the goal to make play accessible to all ages no matter where you live, and serve as a reminder that even in the rush and hustle and bustle of busy city life, all should take a moment to pause and play. The buildout serves a purpose to ensure that cities capitalize on space and make every idle opportunity one that can instead inspire, engage, connect, and enhance play.
The Play Spot Adventure (purpose is to) turn empty spaces into amazing places, according to LEGO.
LEGO’s done that by creating an interactive outdoor playground. Visitors will have the opportunity to connect with others while they play basketball, go for a ride in a LEGO Brick Cruiser, build their own music album and more! Entry is first-come-first serve. The playground is free and open to all ages, with a motto to “put Boston in play mode!”
Beyond Boston, LEGO’s Play Spot pop-ups are also taking over vacant urban spaces in Berlin, London, and Shanghai.
