The holidays are just around the corner, and there’s no better way to shop for presents than to visit a festive holiday market and support local businesses from the Boston area. We’ve compiled a list of jolly holiday markets happening in and around Boston this holiday season — check them out!

Boston Women’s Holiday Market

WHEN: Sunday, December 12, 12 PM – 5 PM and Sunday, December 19, 12 PM – 5 PM

WHERE: the Charles River Speedway, 525 Western Ave, Brighton, MA 02135

Support the female entrepreneurs in your area! The Boston Women’s Holiday Market will be open on two Sundays in December, just in time before the holidays. This free market will feature over 25 local, women-founded small businesses.

Boston Open Market

WHEN: Every Saturday and Sunday in November, 11am-5pm.

WHERE: 149 Newbury Street.

In the midst of retail shopping on Newbury, stop by the Boston Open Market to see the works of over 70 local artists.

Popportunity Winter Market

WHEN: Saturday, November 27, 11am-5pm.

WHERE: 84 Bishop Allen Drive, Central Square, Cambridge

For Small Business Saturday on November 27, New England Open Markets is teaming up with The Central Square BID to host the Popportunity Winter Market. Start at Norfolk Street at Mass Ave to shop from over 100 small businesses and continue into the Square for food, shopping, and holiday cheer.

Snowport Holiday Market

WHEN: November 19 through January 2. Monday-Thursday: 3:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday-Saturday: 11:00am – 8:00pm, Sunday: 11:00am – 7:00pm

WHERE: The Holiday Market at Snowport, 88 Seaport Blvd., Boston, MA 02210

The European-style holiday market at Snowport returns from November 19 through January 2 at Seaport. Check out their Tree Market, food vendors, and winter games in the meantime!

Black Legacy Marketplace

WHEN: Saturday, November 27, 2021 (Small Business Saturday), December 4th, December 11th, December 18th; 1pm-6pm each day

WHERE: Black Market – 2136 Washington Street; Roxbury, MA 02119

Black Market’s 5th annual Holiday Marketplace is back this year, and it’s the perfect spot to support talented local Black artisans and artists.

SoWa Boston is hosting an absolute extravaganza this year for the holiday season. In addition to food and entertainment, their holiday market has an incredible array of local vendors to shop from. This event is free from Monday to Thursday, and tickets are available, starting at $5, for weekend dates.

Christmas Craft Fair at Old South Church

WHEN: December 4,  – 
WHERE: Gordon Chapel in Old South Church, 645 Boston Street (corner of Dartmouth and Boston) at Copley Square in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood

Come on down to one of Boston’s oldest and most iconic churches for a one-day holiday market. Old South Church’s annual craft fair features local artisans who will be showcasing and selling paintings, soaps, jewelry, textiles, pottery, note cards, paper art, ornaments, and much more. The Boston Conservatory Brass will provide live music as well!

The Somerville Flea Holiday Markets

WHEN: November 28th, 10am-5pm; December 5th, 10am-5pm; December 19th, 10am-5pm

WHERE: Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143

The Somerville Flea will be hosting some extra-special vendors for the holiday season, featuring vintage and artisan vendors for all your holiday shopping needs.

Harvard Square Holiday Fair

WHEN: December 10-12, December 17-19 (Friday to Sunday); Friday hours: 12-7,  Saturday hours: 11-7, Sunday hours: 12-6

WHERE: 33 Dunster St, Cambridge

Running since 1986, Harvard Square’s holiday fairs are legendary for attracting lots of vendors and shoppers alike. This juried festival is free for everyone and  has a great selection of original, affordable, and beautiful gifts!
