The fastest-growing facial membership brand is setting roots in its founder’s hometown, Newton, MA. Native, Rachel Liverman opened the first Glowbar in Tribeca, New York in 2019. This fall, Glowbar introduced two new locations in Liverman’s stomping grounds where she was first introduced to esthetics.
Liverman’s family has been at the forefront of skincare since the 70s, with her grandmother, Catherine Hinds, founding the first fully accredited esthetics school in the country—situated in Woburn, Massachusetts just outside of Boston.
Opening Glowbar’s first Boston location is like a homecoming for me,” said Founder and CEO Rachel Liverman. “Not only did I grow up just outside of the city, but my family has been working in skincare around Boston for over 50 years. I’m proud to be carrying on my grandmother’s legacy with Glowbar and specifically our Boston locations, just miles from where she made history. I know this is just the beginning for us in MA.
Glowbar introduced two Massachusetts locations, one in Chestnut Hill Square, beside Wegmans, and another right on Newbury Street in Back Bay, celebrating 16 locations in total in just 5 years!
The Glowbar method
The Glowbar concept is simple, instead of punishing people with lofty expenses and unnecessary time squandered in a esthetician’s office, members are rewarded for staying consistent with their facial wellness. This is all due to Glowbar’s proprietary cost model, offering a membership for monthly facials at just $60, something that averages $150-$200 a session in Boston.
If you’re shy of commitment, stand-alone facials are $75 a session and memberships can be started at any time.
Tailored treatments for your skin
The accessible facial wellness service fills a gap in the beauty industry by meeting demand for consistent and reliable treatments without complicated menus and surprise up-charges. The accessible facials don’t skimp on high value services though, offering tailored facials that include extractions, dermaplaning, cavitation, microcurrent, high frequency, chemical peels, or LED.
The Newton native’s brainchild, Glowbar, has left over 300,000 people glowing across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and now, Boston! Reserve your expert 30-minute facial at your local Glowbar at:
