Glossier fans, rejoice! After several successful pop-ups in Seaport and inside Madewell, the first permanent Glossier Boston location is coming to Newbury Street in Boston and officially opened its doors on Friday, March 24, 2023.
Glossier makes its Boston relationship permanent
In traditional Glossier fashion, guests can try products at the paint and play stations, say hello to Glossier gals in cool jumpsuits, lounge on the lush pale turquoise and blush-colored sofas, take a selfie with the iconic “you look good” mirror decals and enjoy the very Instagramable millennial pink tufted furnishings!
Alongside the exciting grand opening is the chance to get your hands on the brand’s latest launch-the exclusive Glossier “You” rollerball perfume. It’s the same beloved scent of Glossier’s bestselling fragrance, now in a travel-friendly form!
Every Glossier store pulls inspiration from the city it resides in. Glossier Boston draws from three things that make Boston “Boston Strong”-our sports, architecture, and collegiate population. The sporty, youthful energy radiates from the blends of pinks and turquoise decals while the dramatic arches pay homage to classic Boston architecture. And it wouldn’t be a true Glossier moment without custom Boston-inspired store merch!
Keeping with the sporty theme, the Glossier Boston crewneck is a pale pistachio green with a tufted “G” logo on the front. $5 from each crewneck purchase is contributed to Artists for Humanity, the Boston-based organization that has helped over 58,000 underserved teens by connecting them with opportunities in art and design. On opening day only, Friday, March 24 Glossier gals can enjoy crewneck embroidery from 10 AM until 6PM.
Boston enjoyed several Glossier pop-ups like those at the hip Seaport shopping avenue, The Current in 2019, and even a pop-up on Newbury Street inside of Madewell. The millennial pink takeover drove crowds into the city, and we expect the store to do just the same!
About Glossier
The unicorn, which constitutes a privately held company with a valuation at or exceeding $1 billion, quickly became a cult-favorite with loyally obsessed fans all over the world. The brand started as a blog back in 2010 when former CEO and Glossier Founder, Emily Weiss juggled her day job at Vogue and Glossier’s blog Into the Gloss- which took a look at the beauty routines of women such as Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, and Sally Singer. In 2014 Glossier was born with the launch of its first-ever product, a no-fuss moisturizer.
Today, the brand’s valuation is approaching $2 billion, according to a recent update.
Glossier opened its flagship NYC location in 2018 in SoHo on Lafayette Street. And just last month, Glossier opened a second New York City subway-inspired location in Soho on Spring Street, just steps away from Glossier HQ. With the opening of Glossier on Newbury Street, that makes for 10 Glossier stores in total!
