Fret not Boston, even without the kid-friendly BLINK show and a slightly shorter tree (down from about 80 to now a still impressive 32 feet), Faneuil Hall and the city will make sure the annual Faneuil Hall tree lighting ceremony is as bedazzling as always. The 32-foot Norway Spruce hailing from Cortlandt, NY arrives in the city on November 12 with a lighting on November 26. It will be adorned with lights, garland, ornaments, ribbons and more in its new home between historic Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.
On Tuesday, November 26 at 6 PM Santa himself will “just flip the switch” and turn us all over from fall mode to holiday mode! The free event begins at 3 PM with a series of special guests and performances.
Prior to the lighting ceremony catch local DJ, DJ Greg, spinning some seasonal favorite tunes. Boston celebrates with photos avec Santa at the lighting. Expect special appearances from Handel and Haydn Society Youth Choruses Youth Chorale and the North End Music and Performing Arts’ Music Ensemble of Students.
You can check out the bedazzling tree all season long, and it might make you build up an appetite! Make sure to grab some delicious food in the North End!
