Harvard Square is now home to a swanky new Italian joint.
Opening at the end of September, Bar Enza will now be serving Italian brasserie food in Harvard Square’s Charles Hotel. With Michelin-starred chef Mark Ladner at the head of this new restaurant, it’s sure to be a hit with Cambridge’s foodie crowd.
The menu will include Ladner’s “Hundred Layer Lasagna,” a dish he was famous for at Del Posto in NYC, where he earned recognition as one of the country’s best Italian chefs. Also on the menu will be a meatball gigante—which is exactly what sounds like—and signature pasta plates like rigatoni with a Tuscan-style ragu.
Expect plenty of fresh, farm-to-table produce on the menu, as the restaurant is located right next door to a farmer’s market on Harvard Square.
