It could snowed on Sunday, December 11 for the first official Boston snow of the year. Luckily for us, blizzards are not in our foreseeable future, though, but due to the snow taking the city by surprise, Bostonians faced rather slippery conditions.
The forecast for Sunday, December 11 called for potential wet snow in the Boston area starting in the afternoon that could have just as easily turned into really cold rain showers, as Boston weather tends to change in a heartbeat. You know what they say here:
If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.
Sunday’s first Boston snow was brought about by the remnants of a western rainstorm, according to CBS Boston. There was accumulation almost statewide from the Worcester Hills and Berkshires all the way east to the city.
And while our phones are still trying to decide whether it will snow or not for the coming weeks into the holiday season, we’re kind of excited to have the first snowflakes of the season especially since it signals the weather has finally made up its mind– Anyone else getting early holiday cheer vibes?
