A recent survey looked at American cities with the highest search intent for “best breakfast places near me.” The search query rose over 132% in the last year, and Boston is among the top five cities hungry for a good breakfast.
Analyzing factors to determine the best breakfast cities also included the number of bakeries, breakfast cafes, and coffee shops in each city, the average cost of a coffee, and the count of social media posts relating to breakfast in each city.
According to the index, these are the top 10 breakfast cities in America:
New York City took the crown as the breakfast capital of America. NYC counts 530 bakeries, 4,000 cafes, and 646 coffee shops according to online travel agent loveholidays. An average 34,900 search queries for “best breakfast NYC” run each month.
Boston is not far behind, ranking as the fifth breakfast foodie city in America. Search volume for “best breakfast Boston” totals at 19,200 queries. Boston counts 192 bakeries, 949 breakfast cafes, and 235 coffee shops.
