Returning for its third year, Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Market is opening once again this month on the Seaport Common. With 54 vendors joining the market this year, it’s a shopping opportunity and community celebration you won’t want to miss!
Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Market was named the Best Retail Pop Up of 2021 by Boston Magazine for its diverse collection of art, cosmetic and wellness products, clothing, children’s books, handmade jewelry, and more. This year, the market will offer even more opportunities to connect with and support local businesses.
Launched in 2019, Black Owned Bos. (pronounced “boss”) highlights and lifts Black owned businesses, places, spaces and the people moving the culture forward in the Greater Boston area. The organization creates spaces to amplify, incubate, and support through strategic partnerships, intentional projects, and curated retail opportunities – including the Seaport market.
All vendors featured at the market are members of Black Owned Bos.’s incredible local network and will have their own tented area to showcase and sell their goods. Plus, there will be music provided by DJ Knzwrth and DJ Slick Vick. For the lineup of 2022 participating businesses, check out Seaport’s website.
“I am looking forward to all that is in store for this season at the Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Market. Building on what has been growing since 2020, we are excited to continue partnering with WS Development to make the award-winning market more than a destination to shop some great brands, but also a destination for a monthly dose of joy and community,” said Jae’da Turner Founder and Managing Director of Black Owned Bos.
Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Market is free and open to the public. It will take place rain or shine on May 22, June 26, July 24, August 27 and August 28, September 25, and October 16, 2022. Each market will run from 12pm-6pm on Seaport Common (85 Northern Avenue).
