The Holiday Market at Snowport welcomes over 120 vendors this season, with tons of grub options. With each better than the next, it can feel overwhelming to pick the best things to eat at Snowport, and while you can’t go wrong with the market’s curation of top local food and beverage vendors, we do want to highlight a few favorites in this year’s lineup.
In total, The Holiday Market at Snowport welcomes 22 unique food and beverage vendors in its food and beverage lounge complete with cozy still fireplaces surrounded by red Adirondack chairs and a heated food and beverage tent courtesy of JetBlue. The market also has 17 “Gourmet Gift” vendors offering up tantalizing provisions and sweet treats you can enjoy at the market, grab to go, or even pick up as a special gift.
That’s nearly 40 spots to sip and eat in total, not to mention the hundreds of talented local artisans to browse and shop while you’re there—we can see how we’d spend hours here and likely need to keep returning to try them all! Here are some of the best things to eat at Snowport this year:
1. Baked Cheese Haus
Get transported to the Swiss Alps with a perfectly crisp on the outside, doughy on the inside baguette finished with just the right amount of gooey Alpine Swiss Cheese. The Raclette sandwiches are just as delicious to watch being made as they taste. Make sure to get all the fixings, for the perfect harmony of textures.
2. Bluefin
It may be 30 degrees out in December, but that never stops a true Bostonian from enjoying a raw bar. As the market’s only raw bar, Bluefin is a great spot to do an oyster cheers with friends or enjoy a shrimp cocktail in the heated tent. Craic hot sauce is an option to spice up your seafood, and you can shop the sauces at the Craic Sauce booth at Snowport.
3. Cheese Wheel Pasta
You might’ve seen Cheese Wheel Pasta flooding your Instagram feed—and later in your dreams. And it’s what a pasta lover’s dreams are made of. Scorching hot linguine is tossed in a cheese wheel and topped with more parm and fresh basil for a creamy and hearty bowl of Pasta alla Ruota.
4. Eloti
Your favorite street corn food truck is now a new vendor at Seaport! And if you have yet to try Eloti, it’s sure to become a favorite. Eloti serves Mexican street corn in a cup or on a stick with different toppings like creamy cotija or fresh lime.
5. ZaZ Restaurant
From the same team of Seaport’s ZaZiBar serving the traditional cuisine of Grenada, is a returning vendor with incredible Crispy Coconut Shrimp and jerk flavors that’ll transport you to the Caribbean. Chef Olrie Roberts spearheads the flavors at ZaZ Restaurant, merging his hometown flavors and learnings from Spain and culinary school.
6. The Soup Station
The definition of a comfort meal, enjoy rotating soup flavors served a giant bread bowl. The Soup Station is a new concept from grilled cheese connoisseurs also at Snowport, Cheese Louise. Grab a grilled cheese for your bread bowl soup while you’re at it!
7. The Frenchman’s Crepes
Savory or sweet, enjoy a taste of France at the market with fresh made-to-order crepes. Flavors range from a lox crepe to a buttery Nutella crepe.
8. Petrova Chocolates
Speaking of sweets, one of our favorite chocolatiers in the city just debuted at Snowport! If you’ve yet to make it to Petrova Chocolates’ new shop in Eastie, now is the time to try their beautifully executed and incredibly creative chocolates. The Popping Almond is a staple truffle flavor, and other exciting flavors like Chestnut Miso Pecan pie are mind-blowing.
9. Sweet Botanical Bakes
While we’re on the subject of interesting sweets—there’s shortbread, and then there’s Sweet Botanical Bakes shortbread! The handmade cookies include beautiful pressed flowers and glitters and come in fun flavors like Strawberry Shortcake, Black Sesame, and s’more!
10. S’mores N’ More
S’more? Of course there is one s’more thing you must do at any holiday market, Snowport included, and that is grab a cozy cup of hot chocolate. New to the market this year is S’mores N’ More. As the name suggests they have delicious s’mores, hot cocoa, and more— all made with house-made marshmallows in fun flavors like Pop-tart!
