Enjoy the sunshine while it’s still here—chill out with friends and a cold beer in hand at one of Boston’s awesome beer gardens? Check these out!
1. Trillium, Rose Kennedy Greenway
This beloved outdoor spot has the best selection of premium, New England farmhouse-inspired beers on the tap. Trillium also partners with some incredible food trucks so that you can enjoy some top noshes along with your cold pint. These rotate every day and include some of the yummiest options such as Bon Mi, the Bacon Truck, Dining Car and Pennypackers—and that’s just to name a few!
Find it at the Greenway on the corner of High Street and Atlantic Avenue.
2. City Winery on the Greenway, Rose Kennedy Greenway
Alright, City Winery is technically not a beer garden by name, but it’s still worth mentioning! Boston’s one and only wine garden has come back to the Greenway for the summer and fall season and is offering locally crafted whites, reds and rosés for your enjoyment. City Winery has also partnered with Harpoon Brewery so you can also indulge in a cold, local craft beer or hard cider, making this a wine and beer garden.
Along with the drinks, the garden also offers a select menu of Mediterranean-inspired nibbles including fresh wraps, cheese boards, and other snacks that will pair perfectly with your glass of wine.

3. Sam Adams Boston Taproom Rooftop, Faneuil Hall
Perfect for a beer with a view, Sam Adam’s Tap Room in Quincy Market offers wonderful views of Faneuil Hall and the Financial District skyline from its rooftop setting. On its menu, you’ll find plenty of options available, including your favorite Sam Adams beers, a lineup of research and innovation brews, and a gluten-free option in Truly Pure on draft.

4. Owl’s Nest Beer Garden, Allston, Esplanade, & Assembly Row
Night Shift Brewery’s pop-up beer garden has returned for the season, and it’s the perfect spot to hang out after work, relax after a run, or catch up with friends. Both locations offer a family and dog-friendly setting in which to enjoy Night Shift’s wide selection of beers, as well as plenty of delicious bites from the surrounding food trucks. The food options vary from venue to venue, but thankfully their website has a complete calendar of when and where to catch your favorite food truck!

5. Sowa Open Market, South End
SoWa hosts a large and absolutely lovely farmer’s market every Sunday, but they also have a beer garden on site as well! After you’ve stocked up on farm-fresh produce and products from local artists, kick back and relax at the outdoor beer garden. In the meantime, you might be lucky enough to catch live music, Boston’s favorite food trucks, and lawn games!

6. Cisco Brewers, Seaport
This season at Cisco Brewers calls for beers and margs! The Nantucket-based brewery opened its Seaport beer garden features Cisco Brewers’ extensive portfolio of beers, including favorites like Wandering Haze Hazy IPA and its seasonal Summer Rays Golden Ale, hard ciders, wines, frosé and coolers. has partnered with Rexicana Surf Cantina to bring drinkers some amazing canned margaritas!

7. Lamplighter Brewing Co. Beer Garden, Cambridge
This brewery in Downtown Cambridge offers a wide array of brews including New England IPAs, barrel-aged sours, and special seasonals. Its charming sidewalk garden is perfect for stopping by and enjoying a few pints with friends as well as some light bites from Lamplighter’s café Pepita, which include hearty paninis, fresh salads and more!
