“America’s Stonehenge” is just a stone’s throw from Boston, located in Salem, New Hampshire.
Just 40 miles north of the city, this park boasts ancient structures dating back over 4,000 years. The park includes dozens of lithic structures and stone formations, both natural, and a representation of human history that once resided in the area— such as ancient inhabitants, the Pawtucket tribe, the colonial period, and the Pattee era.

Unique rock formations at America’s Stonehenge
One of the most unique formations is The Oracle Chamber, the largest structure on the site. Beneath is a “speaking tube” where your voice echoes from beneath the ground.
The chamber even features closets and a fireplace, and is like a little underground home!
The Grooved Table is another key piece, with a theory that liquid offerings were poured on this table in ceremonies. In addition to tables and chambers, the formations include uniquely shaped mono stones.

Admission to the premises
Tickets to America’s Stonehenge are $19 for adults. Seniors are $17, and Veterans are $15, while children’s tickets are $12. Children under 4 enter free.
