It’s the most wonderful time of the year yet again and if you’re wondering where to get a Christmas tree in Boston, we have ten spots in and slightly out of the city for you!
There’s nothing quite like a freshly-cut Christmas tree and the scent of pine to freshen up a space. Make sure to go early as for all locations listed, trees are available until December 24 or sold out, and sold out usually comes first!
1. Snowport, Seaport
The magical winter village, Snowport is complete with a tree market. All trees are cut and ready to take away so there is no heavy lifting, unless you want to haul the tree on foot from the market to your apartment! Find the tree market adjacent to the winter village.

2. The Fenway Tree Farm, Fenway
The tree market off of Boylston Street adjacent to the ice-skating rink in Boston at 401 Park is a great place to get your tree without ever leaving the city. Right at the heart of Fenway you’ll find stunning evergreens, straight out of a Narnia storybook. Make sure to stick around for an ice-skate and hot cocoa at the winter lounge for a full holiday themed day in Boston!

3. Boston Christmas Trees, Allston
This veteran-owned farm provides pre-cut trees straight from the farm to the greater Boston area. There are Balsam and Fraser firs to choose from and this year the farm is also offering Christmas tree deliveries, great if you can’t make your way out to a farm to pick the tree up yourself! Boston Christmas Trees also offers hand crafted garlands, wreaths, table baskets, mantle pieces and more!

4. Pakeen Farm, Canton (20 mins)
Located in Canton, MA, Pakeen Farm offers a wide variety of trees including Balsam, Concolor and Fraser Firs, as well as Blue and Norway Spruces. Grab a hot cocoa and wander through the farm to find the perfect tree. The farm also has handcrafted wreaths and garlands to help make your holiday décor extra luscious.
This year the farm has trees ranging from 3 to ten feet in height and are all priced at $120 regardless of size.

5. Smolak Farms, Andover (30 mins)
A great place to go apple picking in the fall, Smolak Farm also grows two kinds of Christmas trees — Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir. If you don’t feel like cutting down your own, the farm also offers precut trees along with wreaths, garlands and other holiday décor.
Pro tip: Head on to Smolak early in the season, the farm’s quite popular and trees tend to sell out early!

6. Vandervalk Tree Farm, Mendon (55 mins)
Get a fresh, pre-cut tree at the farm’s store or cut down your own Fraser or Balsam Fir. The Christmas barn is also a great gift-shop to double up on your holiday shopping in one trip! Find a selection of Aspen mulling spices, fir needle candles, Vandervalk hats and Reindeer food.

7. Crane Neck Tree Farm, West Newbury (49 mins)
At Crane Neck you can choose from Fraser, Balsam, Douglas Firs and Blue Spruce trees to cut down. They provide a saw for your tree cutting workout which Crane Neck Christmas Tree Farm states takes anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on how often you’ve been lifting metal. You can opt for the pre-cut trees as well.

8. Indian Rock Farm, Foxboro (42 mins)
The farm sells both pre-cut and cut-your-own tree and grows only three kinds of Fir trees including Balsam, Fraser, and Concolor. Also on offer, there are fresh wreaths, swags, and mistletoe. While you’re in Foxboro, make sure to check out the last fantastic “Magic of Lights” holiday show held at Gillette!

9. Mistletoe Christmas Tree Farm, Stow (48 mins)
Cut-your-own trees are now sold out at Mistletoe farm, but pre-cut ones are still available. The farm accepts pets so it’s perfect for going on a holiday adventure with your pooch. At their shop, you’ll also plenty of wreaths, ornaments and other holiday décors. One December 3 and 4 they’ll have a special “Santa Selfie” station, so try to go that weekend if you can!

10. Cranston’s Christmas Tree Farm, Ashfield (2 hours)
At Cranston’s, you’ll find Balsam, Concolor and Fraser Firs cut-your-own trees. Their shop is also selling pre-cut trees, wreaths, brush ornaments and greenery along with some other yummy treats perfect for making gifts including maple syrup and honey as well as syrup gifts boxes and baskets. It is two hours from the city, but one of the “Top 50 Christmas Tree Farms in the Country” according to the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond.
