Looking for a snowy getaway without the long drive north? The Weston Ski Track, only about 15 minutes from Boston, delivers the full winter experience—think cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and Nordic night skiing—right in the city’s backyard.
Nestled on 2,000 acres of glistening winter terrain, Weston Ski Track transforms the Leo J. Martin Golf Course into a Nordic wonderland each year. Managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation, the park stretches across rolling fields and wooded trails where both beginners and seasoned skiers can glide through soft, machine-made snow.
🎿Learn a new winter skill

The beauty of Weston is its variety. The track features groomed lanes for classic cross-country skiing, wide acres for skate skiing, and plenty of open space for snowshoeing.
Don’t have your own gear? Rentals are available right on-site.
New to skiing? Weston’s ski school offers lessons for both kids and adults, making it a perfect place for families or beginners eager to try something new this season. In a lesson, you’ll cover all the ground of cross-country skiing—from form to turns, speedwork, and how to properly get up from a fall without hurting yourself.
Anyone, at any age can learn to ski here, and Weston Ski Track offers group classes and group lessons in addition to private lessons.

Unlike many local parks, Weston keeps the fun going after dark. Its illuminated Nordic tracks mean you can ski under the stars—a rare treat so close to Boston. The facility is open seven days a week, from day through evening, for those spontaneous weekday outings or weekend adventures.
🏔️Affordable trail passes and rentals
Adult trail passes start at $13 for a single day, or grab a season pass ($189 individual / $299 family) for unlimited winter access. Ski rentals start at $26, and gear is always ready when fresh snow hits.
