Get your pedal pushers ready!
The Emerald Necklace Conservancy’s annual “Pedal the Necklace” spring bike ride series returns on April 18! The leisurely community bike ride is a way to get outside, explore Boston’s gourgeous Emerald Necklace in its spring glory, and make friends along the way!
Pedal the Necklace dates
The series occurs over three dates, with rides of 3-4 miles on each date.
On April 18, bike from Franklin Park to Jamaica Pond. On May 2, bike from Jamaica Pond to the Shattuck Visitor Center, and on May 9 bring it home, biking from the Shattuck Visitor Center to Boston Common! Boston springtime will be in full bloom by the time you put pedal to the metal!
Each bike excursion begins at 10 AM on the respective dates. Volunteers will help guide bikers on routes and provide snacks and water will be available at the beginning of each ride. Bring your own bike, or borrow a Bluebike for free. The inter-city bike service will offer a few free rentals on first-come-first-serve basis to pick up at the start of each ride.
