Established one decade ago in Rhode Island, The Nitro Bar has a footprint much larger than its New England shops in Rhode Island. The Rhody-born coffee shop and cafe reached global acclaim with it’s homemade syrups, craft lattes, and founder-facing content.
Wife and husband duo, Audrey Finocchiaro and Sam Lancaster are the founders of The Nitro Bar.
The Nitro Bar to return to Boston

If you’ve ever seen an iced Caramelized Banana Latte with a perfect caramel color and a baby blue straw, chances are it’s The Nitro Bar. People flock to one of the shops’ three Rhode Island locations from all over, just to sip the world-famous craft lattes.
However, for Bostonians eager to get a taste of this coffee shop, it won’t be the first time The Nitro Bar is shipping up to Boston. Beginning as a pop-up coffee cart, The Nitro Bar actually first rolled its cart into South Boston for a pop-up on the corner of A Street and West Broadway in 2022. Now, four years later, they owners have unofficially announced a return to Boston, with a permanent location.
The news comes after recently sharing the expansion of The Nitro Bar cafes in Rhode Island, and a massive location in NYC. Bostonians expressed their FOMO, with The Nitro Bar’s Instagram posts flooded with comments say “COME TO BOSTON.”
The Nitro Bar did not hesitate to tease the news, responding Boston is “coming soon.”
Exactly when and where The Nitro Bar will open its Boston shop is yet to be confirmed, but rest assured, it’s happening!
About The Nitro Bar

Before The Nitro Bar became famous for its craft lattes, massive pancakes, and loaf slices, it began as a humble Nitro cold brew cart in 2016. Founders, Audrey Finocchiaro and Sam Lancaster would roll The Nitro Bar everywhere from farmer’s markets to local universities! In 2018 they opened their first permanent location, a 600-square-foot shop in the West End of Providence.
Today they have three shops, two in Newport, Rhode Island and one in Providence, plus many more in the pipeline. Their cold brew is on tap at over 70 coffee shops, and will be brewing in Boston soon!
