Spend the last days of summer frolicking through sunflower fields at SummitWynds.
For the next two weekends, the farm at SummitWynds will be hosting their 2021 Sunflower Farm Fest in Holden, Massachusetts. Just an hour outside of the city, this farm has over 600 feet of walking paths through their sunflower fields, and the festival will be the perfect time to catch them in full bloom. You’ll even have the opportunity to cut and take home sunflowers and zinnias.
SummitWynds is well known for their lavender fields, which were in season just a few months ago. At the festival, they’ll have lavender drinks and food on site, made from lavender harvested from the farm itself. They’ve even collaborated with Seven Saws Brewing company to creaet a honey lavender beer—a refreshing treat for the end of a summer day! You can purchase their farm fresh products at the Boutique Artisanal Marketplace located on the farm during the festival.
In addition to the fields of flowers, the farm has a spectacular view of Mount Wachusett. It’s no wonder that one of the many events offered during the festival are outdoor yoga sessions — it’s the perfect peaceful venue to reconnect with nature!
Other event during the weekends include live music on Fridays and Saturdays, horse and pony rides for the kids, and virtual scavenger hunts hosted via their mobile app.
The Sunflower Farm Fest will run from August 27-29 and September 3-6. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time on SummitWynd’s website.
