“The Summer I Turned Pretty” turned the birthplace of America into Cousins Beach during the Fourth of July. The show and movie, which have always been set in Massachusetts, have finally traded their original filming locations in North Carolina for something closer to home: Plymouth, Massachusetts.
While it’s still not the Cape Cod setting that the show and film are actually set in, the South Shore is as close to the Cape as you’ll get!
Downtown Plymouth became the set for the movie; the film marks a continuation of the wildly popular book turned show, which ran on Amazon Prime for three seasons.
While the cast did also film in North Carolina, Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, and several other cast members filmed all around Plymouth this month.
