This summer, seniors can escape to a seniors-only (55+) summer camp less than one hour from Boston. The overnight camp inspires seniors to connect and unleash their inner child in “Seniors in Wonderland,” a nod to “Alice in Wonderland.”
The Salvation Army Senior Summer Camp
This overnight summer camp tickles all the nostalgia of overnight camp as a kid. Seniors will feel 14 again as they adventure, play, and explore outdoors. And if you’re 55+ and never experienced summer camp, The Salvation Army runs Senior Camp for this exact reason—it’s never too late to try! In fact, a high percentage of those registered are attending summer camp for the first time in their lives.
A seniors-only camp on Lake Massapoag
The camp takes place in the town of Sharon, Massachusetts just 45 minutes from Boston. Seniors from all over the state will attend camp, which runs for two separate week long sessions this summer.
Lake Massapoag is a 392-acre freshwater lake in Sharon. Camp takes place across more than 110 acres of waterfront property, with games, crafts, and activities for seniors to feel like kids again!
Highlighted activities include pontoon boat rides, cornhole, pickleball, a talent show, game show night, and BINGO!
Camp is in session July 27-31 at Camp Wonderland! Learn more and register for camp through the Massachusetts Salvation Army.
