Boston’s North End is set to host one of its most anticipated summer events as the San Gennaro Feast returns from August 21 through August 23. The annual celebration, organized by the Saint Gennaro Foundation of Boston, brings together iconic Italian cuisine, live entertainment, and a cherished cultural tradition honoring the patron saint of Naples. Drawing locals and visitors alike, the three-day festival blends neighborhood heritage with a modern street festival atmosphere while raising funds for autism awareness.
North End restaurants and live entertainment take center stage
More than three dozen food vendors and top North End restaurants—including Bricco, Café Dello Sport, Aqua Pazza, Forcella, and Trattoria il Panino—will line the streets, serving everything from classic Italian dishes to popular festival fare. The event transforms Hanover Street into a lively destination filled with music, dancing, and energy throughout the day and night.
Entertainment highlights include DJ sets, a Motown tribute performance, and headlining acts like Soul Legends featuring Russell Thompkins Jr. and The New Stylistics. Guests can also enjoy a beer garden, raffles, and family-friendly activities, making the feast a full weekend experience for all ages.
Cultural tradition meets community impact
The celebration culminates on Sunday with a traditional procession through Boston’s North End. This longstanding ritual remains a central part of the festival’s identity and cultural significance.
