Rocco’s Sports & Rec is set to open in Boston’s Seaport, introducing a new sports-focused dining and gathering destination in one of the city’s busiest neighborhoods. The concept, from New York–based Garret Group, will officially open on April 23.
Seaport’s new sporty spot
Built around the idea that sports bring people together, Rocco’s is designed to feel just as relevant on a weeknight as it does during major matchups. The space pairs a modern sports atmosphere with vintage-inspired details, including warm wood finishes, brass accents, and oversized high-definition screens positioned for clear viewing from nearly every seat.
“Boston lives and breathes sports, and Seaport is where people come together to experience that, whether it’s before the game, after the game, or just being part of it,” said Gavin Moseley, Co-founder of The Garret Group. “Rocco’s Sports & Rec taps into that sense of nostalgia and community, creating a place that feels familiar to Boston fans while offering a more elevated, all-day experience.”
Boston’s sports legacy is woven throughout the design. Artwork and installations pay tribute to local icons, including Celtics-inspired pieces and interactive elements that add to the game-day feel. The result is a setting that balances the energy of a stadium with the comfort of a neighborhood hangout, aiming to draw both dedicated fans and casual visitors.
Where sport and lifestyle intersect
The menu centers on American classics with global influences, with a strong emphasis on seafood. Highlights include a lobster clubhouse sandwich, lobster Cobb salad, and a range of shareable dishes like dip boards, calamari, and tacos. Chicken tenders and wings are also key offerings, designed for group dining, alongside desserts such as a sundae served in a mini helmet.
“Seaport has become one of the places where people naturally come together, and Rocco’s builds on that,” said Ariel Foxman, Area Vice President of Brand and Experience at WS Development. “It’s designed to be a go-to for gathering, whether for a game, a group night out, or something in between, and we know it will quickly become a new favorite in the neighborhood.”
A reservation-style Viewing Membership allows groups to secure tables for specific games or recurring gatherings, offering a more consistent way to plan outings.
Rocco’s is set to be one of the top spots to watch the World Cup this summer!
