A stunning orchid show is on display in Boston, and it’s the perfect activity to get you in the spring spirit! There are over 26,000 species of orchid, according to Brittanica. About 100 of these different orchids are on display at the fabulous Orchid Adventure now through March 10 at Boston’s Franklin Park Zoo.

The botanical extravaganza displays the vast diversity of the ravishing flowers. Find rare, exotic orchids and mesmerizing hybrid species to explore at the Franklin Park Zoo.
This flower show is unique in that it juxtaposes orchids and the animals in which they share native habitats with. Which means not only do you get to explore hundreds of orchids, but you also get the opportunity to encounter the rich biodiversity of a balmy tropical forest. Access to Orchid Adventure is included with general admission to the zoo, according to their website.
Find giant anteaters, an ocelot, Baird’s tapirs, and more beautiful animals at the zoo. Following Orchid Adventure, the zoo will host a neighborhood plant sale, with many of your favorite orchids available for purchase.
Orchid plant sale
The sale is scheduled for March 23 from 9 AM until 12 PM at the zoo’s Nature’s Neighborhoods Meeting Barn. Members of the Massachusetts Orchid Society will be available to answer any questions or concerns regarding orchid care at home.
You’ll have the opportunity to pot a baby orchid for free and bring it home with you.
