You haven’t tasted a strawberry like this. Nourse Farm, in Westborough, Massachusetts, produces some of the sweetest, juiciest strawberries in the state. It makes since, because the family-owned farm’s only been at it for about 302 years.
Nourse Farm is America’s “15th oldest continuously operating family business in the country.” Spanning 140-acres, the farm produces everything from strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries, to dairy, fresh vegetables, and wildflowers. Designated acres are reserved for u-pick areas throughout the seasons.
In the summer, Nourse offers a thriving rotation of u-pick berries, with strawberries in season right now for $5/pound. Nourse berries are the hero ingredient in Donut Stand house jelly donuts.
Later this summer, their flower field will open up. While Nourse doesn’t offer apple picking, at the height of the 1800s, the farm boasted over 57 varieties of juicy apples.
Beyond the u-pick selection, which is regularly updated on the Nourse Farm website, the farm store has a selection of vegetables, fresh salsa, and more. If you enjoy the farm flavors make sure to check out Veg Out-Nourse’s farm-to-table food trailer open Fridays-Sundays from 11 AM-4 PM.
