On Saturday, October 10, from 12 to 5 pm, Seaport turns Harbor Way into an outdoor book fair, with nearly 40 authors, booksellers, and specialty vendors set up along the waterfront neighborhood. Boston Seaport by WS hosts the event with Front Paige Media, an organizer of outdoor markets that put a nostalgic, childhood book-fair spin on events with local authors and small businesses.
The lineup covers independent, traditionally published and children’s authors, so you can browse across genres and age groups, whether you’re shopping for yourself or for a young reader.
What’s on at The Rocks
The main program takes place at The Rocks at Harbor Way. Author Heidi McLaughlin will join a conversation moderated by Emma Zeiger of Ghosted by Grief. The listing gives two different times for it, 1:00–1:30pm in the announcement and 1–2pm in the schedule, so check the official event page before you go. Afterward, a dedicated reading corner and hangout space will open so you can settle in with whatever you’ve picked up.

Booksellers Second Love Social Club and Softcover Books will bring their titles. Seaport businesses Moleskine and Little Words Project will also take part. They’ll be joined by specialty vendors JW Sticker Shop, The Page Bar by Elevated, Pearl and Peony Crafts, The Book Loft, Hip Hope Hoorah, and Simply Me Crafts.
Jessica Chen, Manager of Community & Partnerships at Boston Seaport by WS, said the fair is meant to bring readers, writers, and the wider community together around a shared love of books, with something for longtime book lovers and anyone hunting for their next read.
