On the bright side, if New York’s fall foliage truly outshines that of New England this year, maybe we’ll anticipate less traffic caused by all the tourism. However, on the not-so-bright side, what does this mean for New England’s fall foliage?
New reports predict upstate New York’s colors will be more vibrant than New England this year. The news comes from a 2024 AccuWeather report.
The perfect storm for vibrant foliage is a mix of abundant rain and sunshine, and while New England experienced both this year, predictions of a drought-like second summer may prevent the leaves from having their usual luster.
Upstate New York, primarily by the Catskills and Adirondacks, the weather is transitioning into typical fall, with some rain, and cooling temperatures that’ll help the leaves change with spectacular color.
