The New England VegFest is the region’s largest festival celebrating vegetarianism! It returns to Massachusetts on Sunday, May 21 from 12-5 PM at Worcester State University.
The free festival draws together over 115 vendors, artists, health experts, sustainability activists, and animal-welfare pioneers to celebrate an environmentally friendly ecosystem. The festival also includes mental health experts in honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month. It’s truly a whole-body wellness festival open to vegetarians, vegans, and even carnivores and pescatarians presented by the local non-profit VegFest!
Tickets to New England VegFest guarantee free entry and enable you to engage in food demos, yoga workshops, and learn from a series of speakers chatting up everything from “Biomagnetism – How to Use My Own Polarities to Feel Better” to “Food as Medicine: How Plant-Based Nutrition Can Prevent and Reverse Disease.” From 12-3 PM guests are encouraged to swing by Darren Yong’s (the practicing magician and vegan) Comedy Magic Show.
The festival itself is the launchpad for Worcester Vegan Week, a time when local businesses offer specials and incentives in addition to prizes to encourage and support vegan practices.
