With 37 resorts across the states and several international locations—in Switzerland and Australia, New England’s nearby ski resorts are opening their doors (or should we say lifts?) this weekend!
Four Northeast ski resorts reopen for the season this weekend
With a combination of a record-deep snowfall for this time of year and some extra oomph from one of the most advanced snowmaking machines in the world, the trails are opening up this weekend at several of the best ski resorts around. This includes the iconic Stowe Mountain Resort, which opens 50 trails—totaling over 225 acres of terrain and Okemo Mountain Resort, which opens with fresh terrain for all ski levels, and is one of the top recommended spots for beginners looking to segue into skiing.
In addition, Mount Snow, the closest Vermont ski resort to Boston, and Hunter Mountain open on Saturday, November 22! If you’ve ever wanted to experience a DJ at a ski mountain, Hunter, the Catskills ski resort, kicks off opening day with breakfast burritos and some live beats!
Get access to all of New England’s best resorts with a tap
While a trip between Vermont and upstate New York would be a lot of ground to cover in one weekend, New England winters (as we know) are long and cold. Luckily, with a Vail Resorts Epic Pass, you can easily and cost-effectively get access to all of these resorts and more, giving you time to visit all of these resorts throughout the season and enjoy the different terrain, food, and après scene they each have to offer!
The best way to turn winter weekends into something to look forward to is making the most of Mother Nature and hitting the slopes, whether carving down a black diamond or leisurely enjoying an intermediate ride and some cozy fireplace cocoa after!
An Epic Pass is the easiest and most cost-effective way to get a taste of all seven Vail Resorts across Vermont and New Hampshire! Passes are on sale through December 4. This pass has several tiers, allowing you to build a package that meets your ski season goals and needs, and makes the transition from snow boots to ski boots as easy as a tap, scan, and lift! Learn more about the current Epic Pass offerings and get ready to hit the slopes this weekend!
