Spring is just around the corner, and to celebrate one of the prettiest times of the year, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston will be showcasing dozens of massive floral arrangements inspired by the paintings in their own collection. Returning for the first time since 2019, the Art in Bloom event will take place this year from Friday, April 29, to Sunday, May 1.
In addition to seeing your favorite painting paired with complementary flowers to get you in the springtime mood, there will also be special events focusing on floral arrangements. You can take master classes with internationally renowned florist Francoise Weeks, known as the “queen of botanical haute couture.” You can also attend a lecture and demonstration by celebrated floral designer Michael Putnam as he shares color techniques in flower arrangements.
Tickets for group tours, in person and online, are available now, while tickets for on-site programs will be available April 6. If you plan to visit the museum during this period, you’ll be able to see the flowers with your General Admission ticket. Read more about ticket information here.
Art in Bloom will run from Friday, April 29–Sunday, May 1, 2022. Read more about this event on the MFA website.
