The Liberty Hotel is launching its first-ever Christmas Stroll, a festive indoor marketplace set inside the hotel’s historic 4th- and 5th-floor rotundas. The famous hotel once served as Boston’s Charles Street Jail.
This exclusive event takes place on Sunday, December 14, offering guests a unique chance to browse artisanal goods, specialty treats, and handcrafted holiday gifts—all while sheltered from the winter weather.
A major highlight of the Stroll is the Liberty’s iconic upside-down Christmas trees, suspended from the 90-foot rotunda ceiling and aglow with over a thousand twinkling lights and hundreds of ornaments. These showstopping trees have become one of Boston’s most beloved and photographed holiday displays, providing striking backdrops for unforgettable holiday photos and warm seasonal ambiance. Throughout the afternoon, guests can explore curated vendors like Beacon Hill Bakery, Candlefish, Boston Candle Lux, and Vose Galleries, making it easy to discover one-of-a-kind treasures in a magical setting.
Admission is free for all ages, and vendor items are available for purchase. Stroll guests can also take advantage of exclusive $25 valet parking, ideal for those planning to walk to Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball at TD Garden—a short stroll away. Join the Liberty Hotel this December for an afternoon of community, holiday spirit, and the unforgettable sight of upside-down Christmas trees illuminating Boston’s winter season.
